Jood Elsheikh (Sennar, 2001) estudió Audiovisuales en Sudán, graduándose al poco de estallar la guerra con las dificultades que implicó la caída del sistema universitario y educativo en el país. Heredó su afición a la fotografía de tu tía, que llenó su infancia de imágenes cautivadoras. Su trabajo la inspiró y despertó su pasión por capturar escenas. Desde 2019 Jood se ha dedicado al género documental, que ve como un poderoso medio para transmitir las emociones más crudas. Jood vive actualmente en Dubái.

Jood Elsheikh (2001) is a Sudanese photographer born in the United Arab Emirates. She studied audiovisuals in Sudan, graduating shortly after the outbreak of the war, which brought with it the difficulties that the collapse of the country’s university and education system entailed. She inherited her passion for photography from her aunt, who filled her childhood with captivating images. Her work inspired her and sparked her passion for capturing scenes. Since 2019, Jood has dedicated herself to the documentary genre, which she sees as a powerful medium for conveying the rawest emotions. Jood currently lives in Dubai.
